THE FIRST ANNUAL
ANDERSONVILLE FOLK FESTIVAL

There may not be a better setting for a genuine American Folk Festival than right in the town of Andersonville. Centrally located in the southern part of the state this quaint Civil War Village is located just off Georgia Highway 49  between Americus and Oglethorpe and is some 21 miles northeast of Plains and within an easy drive from Atlanta, Savannah, Northern Florida, Alabama as well as many places in the Carolinas.

The Andersonville Folk Festival is a celebration of traditional southern artists & craftsmen producing work such as pottery, glass blowering, soap makering, basket weavers along with a multitude of other regional work. We invite you to participate in this celebration of folk arts & music. Demonstrators are encouraged and all fees will be waived for those exhibitors. If you're interested in being a part of our festival... please give us a call or send an email. We'll be happy to provide you with all the details, and hopefully one of your better shows this spring season!

Some eighty thousand tourists annually visit to experience firsthand the antebellum atmosphere Andersonville has to offer. All are informed of other attractions in the area. Complimentary step-on tour guides are provided for Motor Coach groups. Annually more than 350 Motor Coach and school groups receive this service.

The ANDERSONVILLE FOLK FESTIVAL is a natual expansion of the cultural experiences we have to offer and promises to be an integral part of the reason so many people choose to spend that "special weekend" right here in our little town.
